Recently I was walking through the streets of Cambridge and I found this gorgeous little shop called 'Lilac Rose'. It sells cute little pieces of jewellery which I would happily buy all of, and some colourful items of clothing and accessories. My friend Angela and I decided that we would both buy a long chain key necklace as a form of a friendship jewellery, this was merely because we both loved it and felt that the simplicity of it would go perfectly with the majority of our clothes. These images have been on my computer for a while but I have been so busy with university work that I haven't had time to post them, or even look at other peoples blogs! But finally the time came to post them and nose around the blogosphere and I am so jealous of the time and effort that other bloggers are able to give. Hopefully I will get back to that soon!

Aussie from back over Christmas

Well this is a very late post, but I thought better late than never! As I live in student accommodation, over the Christmas holidays I was unable to pick up my Aussie deliveries. Unfortunately, I missed the deadlines for the competition of twitter pictures, but I wanted to write about the products themselves anyway. These two bottles that I received are especially for dry and damaged hair under the 'Miracle Moist' range, made to protect the condition of the hair and keep it smooth and refreshed. As the bottles are larger than normal at 400ml for the conditioner and 500ml for the shampoo, they are bound to last me a long time so I have a long time to see how much my hair develops. As I have coloured hair, I do need a lot of protection, so I try to combine my washing routine with the 'Take The Heat Leave In Spray' when blow drying and straightening my hair. The smell of these two bottles are so delicious and sweet due to the new formula of Aloe Vera. You can smell it all day and its so gorgeous when you blow dry your hair. Every time I receive a new product from the lovely Aussie ladies, I am more and more pleasantly surprised! Love being an Aussie Angel.

Already Gone

Hey All, thought i'd let you know about some new make up that I have been using for a while. This little beaut is from the gorgeous brand MAC. You can buy it here online from their lovely website! Its £13.50, and I've got the colour NC20 as I'm pretty pale. I wear it over my foundation under my eyes to cover my bags and then around my nose so that I can cover any blemishes. According to the website you are meant to use it before your foundation or on its own, but I like to apply it after my foundation as I like to create more of a natural tan first; often I use tinted moisturers as these create a sun kissed glow. It lightens up dark areas on our faces and hides spots and problem areas with its light and liquid flow over your skin.
It comes in 11 colours, and although its a small tube, I definitely think its long wearing and lasts a long time in your makeup bag!

Christmas

So this Christmas I got something a little special. An iPad 2! Now I understand in this economic time that this is an incredible gift to receive and I definitely feel the same! But fortunately my parents got these for my sister and I on a day when Apple was providing 15% off iPad purchases! Lucky or what! It is such an incredible device...combined with my gorgeous Canon SLR from last Christmas, it is the perfect gift for blogging! Well let's hope so as this is my first post on the gadget! Luckily my parents also bought my sister and I an awesome USB connector so we can upload our images to the iPad so all of my Christmas day photos are here! To edit them I had heard of a small editing program for iPhones called Instagram and turns out you can use it on iPad's too! Here are some images from the day, including our fantastic roast dinner where we went completely against tradition and had Lamb instead of Turkey! But it's safe to say that the whole family was very pleased with he day! Including the cats!

This was an outfit post I did a while ago near the end of summer but never posted about. I got this cute little dress from H&M and I love it; not only if it bright and colourful, perfect for summer but its a really great colour for Autumn as well matched with a brown belt put over the top of the waistband. I love my Warehouse denim jacket because it is perfect to wear the whole way through the year, rain or shine; it's great for the 'casual' look. I have paired these key items with some Primark brogues and a Miss Selfridge gold lead necklace which I got for £7 in the sale not long ago. How do you all feel about wearing summer items in winter?

But I never told you what I should have said, No, I never told you, I just held it in.

Recently, my blog has been transferred from a fashion and beauty blog to more of a fashion and lifestyle blog. This is because I have decided that I have a great love for food photography and the display and colouring of the meals we buy when we are dining out. These images are also from my trip to Edinburgh when I was visiting my sister and we had yet another amazing meal, were I wasn't concerned about the calorie in take or anything health related...I just wanted to have a lovely time, eating yummy food and laughing immaturely to silly things such as 'the connection between men's feet and willy sizes' with my favourite people; my sister and my mum.

Aussie Party

The beautiful Emily from Emily Divine and I ventured together up to Shaftesbury Avenue last Saturday for another gorgeous Aussie Hair Care Event. The evening was filled with Champagne on entrance, half naked waiters carrying scrumptious canape's of chicken and vegetables, glasses of wine, hair stylists, make up artists, ladies painting nails, goodie bags, photographers and finally lots of bloggers! I wore a DIY electric blue dress from New Look for £4, which I cut at the back to create a more waisted look. Then added a Topshop Sale necklace for £3.50 with a bright yellow stone in the middle which contrasted with the electric blue! I had my make up done with some lovely Maxfactor products, such as gold eye shadow, blusher and some lip tint. Then I had my hair curled by a great hair stylist who was on the hit TV show on Channel 4 'Great British Hairdresser' and I loved the look he created. Wish I could recreate this easily as it only took him 5 minutes! Emily and I definitely thought that the journey to London was worth it for such an fun and relaxing evening of socialising and pampering!

Hamilton's

Bit annoying, but for some reason Blogger won't let my pictures be any bigger than this, but I suppose it will have to do! This selection of images are from a gorgeous restaurant in Edinburgh called Hamilton's that my sister took me to today, and it was devine. We had a table of six and all sat down to adorable meals varying from fish finger sandwiches and parsnip chips to chicken and bacon sandwiches with cream of mushroom soup. The whole restaurant was very relaxed and old fashioned with comfortable lounge chairs and candle lit tables, but it all had a modern feel, with abstract paintings and pop art styled menu's. Each meal consisted of bright colours and scrumptious flavours which I took a long time eating because I wanted to enjoy every single bite; but had to get a few snap shots in first as I was so impressed. I'm loving being in Edinburgh at the moment, everything here seems so calm and as if everyone is always content with their lives rather than some of the dramas of 19 - 20 year olds! Just reminded me of how simplicity can often be the main source for happiness...along with a beautifully yummy meal!

Also COLDPLAY are playing at my University in Norwich on the 27th as they are part of the Radio 1 Student Tour with Fearne Cotton and I am so excited, so although this is an odd video to go with the song, this is the most relevant Coldplay song to me right now...love them!

Hey Guys! Sorry I've been a bit useless recently, a lot has been going on and I'm doing everything in my power to surround myself with happy people and happy situations! For example, last Saturday I went out with a friend from work after coming back from holiday in Mallorca. I wore a cute new sleeveless playsuit from the 'Glamorous' range from ARK for £26.99 which I think shows off my tan pretty well because of the lovely red colour! On the website they only advertise the blue and olive version but in store they have it in other fantastic colours! They also have it in plain block colours which are so gorgeous, but the red and maroon items are the best sellers for the end of Summer and beginning of Autumn. I feel like you should also be willing to post an embarrassing or drunken photo on your blog, because we have to all admit...not everyone looks good always! So drunken photo for you! I've also posted some other items I love from this range and you should definitely check it out...

A day in Edinburgh...

Last week, I went to Edinburgh with my mum to go see my sister and also visit the Fringe Festival. It was so much fun and the weather held out a lot better than I thought it would, which is always lovely for Edinburgh! I have been a bit useless with blogging recently as I have really wanted to spend as much time as possible with my friends and family. This is because I have realised that what is the point in doing things or achieving goals, if you've got no one to share it with or have someone to appreciate you! So this trip really helped to get my head straight and enjoy some quality time in a gorgeous city with my lovely family. What more could you ask for? We had luscious meals, drank lots of tea and enjoyed amazing cakes from all kinds of interesting cafes around the town! Sometimes it is the simple things in life that make you appreciate the world so much more!

London Africa Fashion Week

One lovely Saturday I got on a bus and ventured to London for the day for fashion shows, croissants, bloggers, fashion designers, gorgeous people and lots of cameras. This was the first London Africa Fashion Week and I felt that it really showed all the stereotypical aspects of how people view African women and fashion, but also they showed the development of how African fashion has developed and how it has actually become very western in the shapes, designs and colour detail. The transformation of the old and the new was beautifully shown and each design was more exciting than the last. I met some amazing bloggers especially Emily from EmilyDivine who I spent most of the day with, also some other gorgeous girlies! We all met at Patisserie Valerie where we were briefed on the day then set off ready for the 4 shoots throughout the day! So below is a selection of my favourite images, and trust me there were a lot more! I had to cut it down to this many and that was a struggle! The first image is purposefully unclear as the day was such a blur to me with all the smiles, chatting and colourful excitement.

So now i'm a single lady, I can either sit around and mope or get up and out and spend time with my beautiful friends and family. Understandably, this doesn't fix a broken heart from a relationship of two and a half years; but neither does crying in bed with ice cream. So I decided that I would get dressed up with my best friend and go out on the town. Only two pictures to show this but basically I just thought i'd let you all know I am still alive and just need some motivation to get out there and live my life as happy as I can do. This post is a bit of a sad one on my behalf. My boyfriend told me that he didn't really like the idea of me posting about him, but now he is my ex, so I guess he has no choice. He broke up with the other day after two and a half years, simply because we're so young and we both need to grow alone.
We had the most perfect relationship the whole time we were together, but I guess everything just has to come to an end at some point. I'm trying to be really mature and sensible about the whole situation and not turn into one of those people that wastes their time moping around and whining.
But the truth is that it hurts, quite a lot. I've cried, I've cursed, I've stayed in bed, taken time off from one of my jobs, I've done every normal thing you do when someone breaks up with you. But all I really want to do is forget. Its the hardest thing for someone to tell you they love you with everything they have in them then decide you're not enough to make them stay, because whether or not you want to hear it, the main thing you hear is 'over'. No one ever said that relationships were easy, and I know that, but I never thought I'd see this day any time soon. I don't want to hang around and hope and pray that he changes his mind because it will crush every little part of life left in me, but I'm not prepared to give up completely and forget our love. I want him to be happy and if that's not with me then okay, I have to deal with that and move on with life.
I gave him everything, it may have been in pieces here and there, but I gave him the best of me and he showed me the best in me.
Which I suppose is why it is so sad, because he made my smile be seen from the other side of the street but never really seemed to see it himself.
The above song to me is such a motivational song and I have been playing it over and over. I want to feel weightless and free from sadness.

The gorgeous Claire from Sitting Pretty sent me this amazing package of goodies a few weeks ago as I won her 500 followers giveaway. These prizes are better than I have ever received before, and better than I could have even imagined! Firstly, there was so much! And secondly, each piece I have easily managed to put with current items I have in my wardrobe, especially the vintage scarves that I have been wearing in my previous posts. The '&' necklace is by far my favourite and it works with everything because it is the perfect length for most of the tops that I wear. Each item came beautifully wrapped and it was so exciting to open each little box, especially the chunky material bracelet as it came in an adorable bracelet bag.

I know this is meant to be a fashion and beauty blog, but sometimes things just have to change. When you have a feeling of inspiration you just have to go with it, you must enjoy and share all that is important around you and make sure others appreciate what they have too.

A while ago I went to an outdoor production of 'The Importance of Being Ernest' with my family. We had a picnic before hand and drank Champagne whilst munching on our healthy snacks that my Gran had brought for us all. Understandably this must sound odd to a lot of people, one. because this is England and there is hardly ever an opportunity to eat outside and two. because its not everyday that you get to see Oscar Wilde plays performed any more. The simple fact is that this day was perfect to me; having my family together all at one time, sitting in the sun shine, everyone with smiling faces and that the beautiful and hilarious script that Mr Wilde produced for us all that time ago is still being enjoyed today. Let me introduce to you my gorgeous family in all their glory, and the hideous picture of me at the bottom with food in my mouth as I'm smiling.

This top is a little something that I bought in the most recent Topshop Sale for £20. The shape is unlike a lot of other tops that I have in my cupboard as I usually pick more fitted and shapely items. This top worked perfectly with my high waisted denim jeans as this top does seem slightly cropped and I didn't want my belly on show! As this top is so bright, wearing other bold colours could seem a little too much so I decided to simply match it with a choice of two necklaces, one turquoise heart from the River Island sale for £3 and the second behind from Oasis. I felt that the combination of the two necklaces made a bigger impact as it made the gorgeous neckline stand out more. What do you think?

Pink and Red

Sometimes there are exceptions for the rules of fashion. Like blue and black don't always go together or you shouldn't wear clashing colours, but in more modern times clashing colours together seems to work well. Although my red colours are not overly obvious, I tried to incorporate little coloured items to compliment each other. Later in the day, I happily went along to the nail salon and had my nails done pink so that they would be nicely painted before my second week at Oasis Clothing and as I am a great lover of all things pink, I thought this would be a very fitting colour! Below I am wearing a gorgeous scarf and '&' necklace from a blogging prize that I will be posting about soon, with Zara trousers, Topshop long stretch top and Topshop laced blouse, Newlook boots and finally a Primark cardigan and turquoise ring. Really nothing special, but this is a perfect example of the 'everyday me' look. Sometimes I feel like some bloggers only post outfits that are on 'trend' or are 'fashionable', but this is just a simple example of what I find comfortable and would be happy to pull out the cupboard; no matter the weather or mood I'm in.

Lusciously Light Aussie Day

As useless as I am for only just posting this a few weeks after it happened, I'm glad its finally up! This selection of images is from an AMAZING day I had with my best friend Alice at the Lusciously Light Aussie Hair Care Product Soiree, in which we went up to London to have yummy food, drink yummy drinks and have our hair done in yummy ways. It was such a lovely day and it was so lovely to meet all the gorgeous bloggers that I love reading about, especially some of the girls that have been Aussie Angels since I have started blogging. There were caterers to supply us with the food we wanted, a champagne tasting session, candy floss machine, photoshoot opportunities and of course the crème de la crème the lovely hair dressers to do our hair in lots of different new and interesting styles. We picked up some lovely products that are definitely worth trying out, especially some of the styling sprays and mouses. It was such an amazing and eventful day and I am so glad that I was lucky enough to be invited.

OFFICE KEEPER LACE UP SUEDE

Now these bad boy shoes from Office, priced at a crazy £85 are currently at the top of my wish list. Unfortunately I will never have the privilege of actually owning a pair, but I thought I would add it to my blog just in case anyone that knows me sees this and is feeling generous...just kidding! This style is not really what I would normally wear and I thought I would start to wear more clothes that would go with shoes like this so that eventually if I ever was to purchase something as beautiful as the burgundy pair then they would fit perfectly with the rest of my wardrobe. By adding them to my blog is almost like when a woman takes a page from a magazine and puts it on their partners desk...to me, having these on my blog is a personal sign of change and putting these here to make myself work harder so I can buy pretty things! Opinions please...?

Firstly, I wanted to share one of my favourite songs right now. Although this is not a new song, I have been re-introduced to gorgeous female singers such as the delightful Corinne Bailey Ray, Lissie and The Pierces. Great songs for the summer and the long lighter evenings. Talking of that, it was in fact the longest day of this year today and it was lovely having the bright light sky outside and needing no lights on inside till late!

Secondly, I want to introduce you to the amazing company Biscuiteers. Whilst I was working at Oasis Press Office as an Intern the girls decided to send out these gorgeous hand-iced biscuits to a selection of bloggers as a way of advertising The New Vintage range they have just launched. Each biscuit was designed in the form of the new four dresses from their range that I showed you in a post I made a while ago. This collection of images below are taken of one of the boxes before it was sent out and hopefully you will have or will soon be seeing images on other peoples blogs. The company makes biscuits for all occasions and many businesses use them for gifts for their associates so I have taken some images from the website to show as examples. I thought it was a great and cute idea to give to the bloggers.

Oasis Internship

These images have come from the Oasis Clothing Press display rooms on Regent Street. A few weeks ago, I had the honour of interning with the Press Office team and I learnt so much. All of the images below are from two collections, the current spring/summer 2011 range and also the autumn/winter 2011 range about to come out. The week that I was there I was helping the girls organise the place and helped them with contacting different bloggers; - which you may have already seen - to promote the New Vintage Range with their floral designs show in my posts below. I had such an amazing experience working there for the week and I felt as if I didn't want to leave because I want to learn so much more! I cannot wait to go back and I recommend to anyone to get involved in interning in industries that interest you the most!

New Vintage by Oasis

Here are some images taken from my most recent trip to London. I went for an interview for an Internship at Oasis PR Head Office and I GOT IT. I start next week and will be running around doing all the little tasks to help out the main team. I never expected to actually get an offer of a week there so I am completely over the moon. Oasis have just launched their new Vintage Range shown on the Oasis Blog. Take a look, its a gorgeous range inspired by the cast of 'Mad Men' and all things Summer; I especially love the waisted dresses in many designs of floral.

Also I would like to show you to my lovely Mother shown at the bottom. She is my everything, and she is the one that keeps me in place and I love her more than anything. If it wasn't for her then I would never have got to my interview so I owe her everything. I know its not mothers day or anything but I hope you all appreciate your mothers as much as I do mine. We are so close and I cant believe all the little things she does for me.

Red is very on trend right now. Only today did I buy my first pair of red jeans from Zara. Over the past few weeks I have been trying to think about what other items would go with red jeans without looking too garish. What do you think? Any colour ideas to match with red such as blues or greens? Or keep it simple with more neutral colours such as whites and creams? Soon I'll show you how I made the red jeans work with simple key wardrobe pieces and bold colouring statements. At the bottom I have selected some of my favourite red items out at the moment and some images that I would love to own for over the summer season, but also selected some individual pieces that will last throughout the autumn/winter.

It's about how to make you life lusciously lighter and although there was this whole huge confusion over some people thinking that Aussie was trying to say to people that they should lose weight and change their hair, Aussie actually were suggesting ways to energise yourself and empower your body and mind, and I cant wait to start this all. I will post something soon about how i'm doing so hopefully it'll be fun and I become lusciously lighter throughout life! Tell me what you think!

Now I have to admit that when I heard that Cheryl Cole was heading out to America to do to X Factor I was a tad worried, as I simply thought that she would become even more over styled and plastic. She is such a stunning individual and like most celebrities, she no doubt would never look as good as she does now if it wasn't for a hard working team of make-up artists, hairdressers and most importantly clothing stylists. Here she is wearing a dress by Sonia Rykiel and after all the controversy about Cheryl's British style not making a big impact on the American audience, critics are saying that this look is her best yet. Simple colouring and pattern, a girlie up-do and a more natural make up look. Very unlike Cheryl's female co-host Paula Abdul who often comes out with some very adventurous outfits in an attempt to almost compete with the younger a completely different Cheryl. Although TV shows like the X-factor are still being reeled out like there's no tomorrow, I genuinely do hope that Cheryl does well out in the big harsh world of USA media.

I recently made this collage on Polyvore with some of my favourite items from Topshop at the moment.

The whole outfit is something that I would love to wear out at the moment. In the day time, I would put it with the red and gold sandals and at night put those caramel coloured bad boy heels on. I'm not much of a lipstick girl but ever since I saw Reese Witherspoon on the most recent Avon advert working some gorgeous red lipstick, I thought I would give it all a go. So first of all I am exploring it through an imaginary world of Polyvore and eventually I will get the courage up to wear it myself. Are you guys lipstick wearers? In the day time I have chosen a soft peachy pink colour from the Topshop make up selection for a cute look and a night time I have decided to put something a bit more adventurous on like Reese In the advert. I think the two tone bag is stunning for both day and night and it is just the right size for carrying all your little nick nacks around! As this is my first time using Polyvore, I didn't have time to note down the prices but knowing Topshop at the moment, I know that no doubt I wouldn't be able afford it all at once, but maybe just aspire to buy little things at once. First of all, I really want the red blazer, I mean this is the first time in ages that I have seen a blazer that doesn't have crazy 60's shoulder pads in it and its in an awesome colour that I am loving right now, so its understandable that it is almost top of my wish list; especially as its summer coming up and i'm experimenting with brighter colours. Which is your favourite item from here? And do you like these neutral tones and the brighter shades together?

Palazzo Trousers

I'm sure everyone knows that the current trend for trousers is the Palazzo trouser.

The ultimate trend for style AND comfort. I don't currently own a pair due to lack of funds, but I would love to fit myself into a pair of these. Although they are at a higher price than I would have hoped, they will be a key item for all summer wardrobes. These gorgeous trousers can easily work it in the day time with a lose patterned top and sandals or at night time with heels and something a bit smarter. Personally I would pick the patterned Palazzo's for night time and put a simple neutral coloured top with them so that the pattern on the trousers really stand out and then get the coloured plain Palazzo trousers for day time and maybe put a baggy top with a logo, image or catch phrase on it tucked into the top of the trousers. The selection below are my favourite items from a three websites online, Oasis, Topshop and New Look, all high street retailers. My favourite from all are the Oasis Wide Leg Crepe Trousers on the end as I love this colour right now with anything and also the Topshop Black Paisley Print Wide Leg Trousers as they remind me of some antique curtains I would love to have in my black and white living room in my house when I grow up. Topshop Dress

Many of you may know that I am a big believer in finding a bargain. Especially if it is a copy of something that I have wanted for a while! Now when I was younger and lived in Hertfordshire and Essex areas, we used to go to this amazing market (unfortunately not for vintage etc items) but instead for little bargains of accessories or 'cabbage' items - which are were a company over produces items and then sells them to wholesalers who sell them on to markets at a fraction of the pricee in order to make a profit on them. This market is called 'North Weald Market' and every time I go there I search out for the Topshop stall. Over the years I have got some amazing items that were actually in store at the time and I would be buying the items for less than i would be paying even with my Topshop discount when I worked there! Now as I'm not at Topshop anymore, it is really nice to find something you like every so often and treat yourself! The dress below is currently in the Topshop sale in store and I got it here for £12.50, which I was really happy with! I wore it out for a night with some friends and I matched it with my favourite wedges, a black belt and my obsessed necklace at the moment, I especially love the puffy sleeves in a thinner material! What do you think? Do you agree with buying copies for items that you can buy for half the price?

Summer Colour

Hey guys, hope all is well with everyone! This post is about my new favourite colour - turquoise. Now more recently, I have been trying out neutral colours matched with a key bright colour . So what better than simple neutral clothing with a brightly coloured item of jewellery. Most of these pieces are small and I wouldn't necessarily wear them together but I like the idea of adding something interesting to a something simple.

The first necklace is a gorgeous piece that I picked up on my most recent holiday in Madeira, I bought the stone in a little shop for 20 Euros, but I just loved the colour so much so I had to buy it. My reasoning for the purchase was because Amethyst, chalcedony, aquamarine and turquoise are all gemstone colours associated with my zodiac sign, Aquarian. So as well as this colour being a fashionable trend colour, they are also my gemstone colour.

Next to the necklace is a small pair of Accessorize earrings.

This is a bracelet that my lovely boyfriend bought for me as a present last year and I only realised the other day that the little stones in it are the same as the rest of this collection. More often that not I only ever wear simple items of jewellery and he knew this so I am very grateful that he bought me a little item of silver jewellery with a gorgeous colour added to it.

The above two items are so different in terms of fashion sense. The cheap Primark ring was only bought recently and although it is a big ring, if it was matched so delicately with a white summer Topshop dress and a gold thin necklace and it went perfectly. The big, bold necklace was another purchase in Madeira for an amazing 1.50 Euro, I haven't worn it yet...what do you think I should put it with? Below is my mothers belt that she decided she wanted me to add because she noticed it was the same colour and I think she wanted a little feature!

Black On Black Polka Dot

I got this cute top from Next not long ago for an amazing £10 in the sale!! I was looking around for something polka dot for ages so when it happened to be in a shirt as well this was double my luck! I have only been wearing it casually in the day time so far but I think it would look really nice with a skirt, black tights and heels. I've matched it here with my Topshop High Waisted Jeans and my favourite Miss Selfridge Necklace that I have been wearing pretty much non stop! So my hair is very straight forward, there's not really much that I can do with my hair as its so thin, but since using the Aussie Lusciously Light products I have tried to be more experimental, so this is my new attempt at making a quiff. Sorry for the short post today, busy with revision for exams! Hope all is well <3

Aussie Haircare

Recently, I got this cute little T-Shirt from the lovely ladies at Aussie Haircare Angels.

The 'Lusciously Light' products are all about improving your hair and making it glossy and light as the name suggests. A while ago the Angels sent us a balloon asking if we would rather have a 'lusciously lighter self' or 'lusciously lighter hair style', for months ahead, I picked 'self'. With this top we got a letter explaining how we are going to receive a selection of videos on how to get a lighter you through exercises and tips in the home to keep you motivated. This is exactly what I need right now, with exam stress, boyfriend being away for another two months and being short in funds due to university. So throughout the journey I will try to keep up with posts of how I am doing and hopefully you will see some of my other Angels keeping it up too! Wish us luck :)

Electric Blue

So I bought this top yesterday from 'New Look' for an amazing £18!

I never really wear very bright clothes and when I saw this I instantly new that I had to give it a try. Although I am not very high on the old funds front at the moment, I was feeling like spoiling myself as I was on a nice day out with my friend. Especially as it was in the sale with a big red sticker on it, I knew it meant I had to buy it. In these pictures I have matched it with my NEW 'Zara' Beige Trousers for 25 Euros, and my NEW 'Zara' Camel Cardigan for 12.50 Euros. As the top is see through, I also added a small white Primark strap top just to cover up a bit. To accessorise I added a simple gold 'Accessorize' leaf bracelet as the top already has obvious but gorgeous little gold buttons on it, so I didn't want to over do it. So I thought by having the mix of the neutral colours around the top would make the blue really stand out and make it look even brighter. I wore this to a trip to a bar to meet some old friends that I haven't seen in a while and they were shocked by my choice of such a bright colour as they normally see me in all neutral colours. It gave me a sense of confidence wearing such a different colour to normal and I think that this is something that I will be doing more of to build my confidence a bit. Next time - bright pink anyone?

Firstly I would like to say, I really appreciate my newest follower count so much :) I love each and every one of you! And to celebrate this achievement, what better than a post about cake. My sister lives in Edinburgh and runs a baking association called 'Bake Nation'. Therefore my trip to Edinburgh consisted of shopping and eating or 'testing' cakes as my sister preferred to put it! Here's the link for the company.

We went to Harvey Nicholas in the centre of Edinburgh where most of these cakes are from then the bottom few are from a gorgeous little new cafe that had just opened on the outside of the centre. I loved each and every cake and went straight onto a detox when I got home :) Enjoy!

Aussie Haircare

Over the past year Aussie hair care have invited me to some pretty amazing events including the above party at a swanky London club and although I have not been able to attend all of the events, I really appreciate the opportunities they have offered to me. Whilst being able to meet other bloggers at the events, they have also sent the Aussie Angels many products to try out. Here are some images of what they have sent me...

And here is the latest item, the gorgeously silky and luxuriously smelling 'Lusciously Light Miracle Moist Conditioner with Queensland Macadamia Nut' for dry or damaged hair. I tried it this morning and my hair has come out feeling so light and smooth. I do admittedly blow dry and straighten my hair but I try to protect it well by using the other Aussie heat protection sprays and goodies. I love Aussie products because they make my hair smell so nice and often make my hair look clean for longer than any other products I have used. As a university student, this is very useful due to late nights and early mornings! Cant wait to use the Aussie Dry Shampoo also! This Lusciously Light Conditioner does exactly what it says on the tin, it rehydrates, strengthens, and because of the macadamia nut which is rich in oils makes your hair look glossy.

Aussie kindly sent this product in a big box with a gorgeous balloon with the conditioner as the weight at the bottom. It also came with a lovely long letter asking us to tweet about whether we feel that this year or over the next few months we would like to have a lighter self or lighter style. Basically do we want to be healthier in mind, body and hair or simply just want to restyle our hair to something new and exciting. I picked to have a lusciously lighter self as because my boyfriend is away for 3 and a half months I want to make sure that I am making a better and happy version of myself so that I dont get to sad about being away from my boy. My plan is to concentrate on my friends at home over easter holidays, appreciate everything my family do for me and make sure that I try hard in my studies. Overall a lusciously lighter self.

Hey Guys, I'm back :) Thank you so much for all your support, hopefully now I will be back for a while and I really appreciate all your lovely comments on my previous post.

Now I know that you may have all seen other bloggers review this mascara a long time ago,

but since I am at university and we use a post room, everything seems to get lost here!

So weeks after I was meant to receive this beaut, I have finally got it!

Ease of application - 4 stars

Value for money - 3-4 stars

I have quite long lashes already but not long enough that I dont often enjoy the odd falsey here and there.

This mascara is perfect for extra length in the day time to really make your eyes stand out.

At night, I do prefer something a bit thicker but I also wear a lot more eye liner in the night, therefore below I have added two images, one for the day time and one for the night time, with and without eyeliner.

I find that some cheaper mascaras clump a lot but this mascara went onto my eyelashes so easily and naturally separated them to make them look longer and individual in a good way. I think this must have something to do with the curve in the brush, meaning that when you apply it, you can push right into your eyelashes to add an extra darker area at the bottom of your lashes then push it through the whole lash. It does not get heavy throughout the day like a lot of other mascaras I have used in the past but in stead when ever I want to reapply it, it almost becomes moist all over again as if I was applying it for the first time in the morning. This mascara makes you feel as if your lashes have been lengthened and curled with its unique brush to define your lashes with bigger and bigger volume.

Now that its nearing the end of the month, it means that a certain unfortunate event has come along.

My boyfriend has gone travelling to South East Asia and India for 3-4 months.

As you can all understand, this is not such an easy time for me. Two years together on Thursday 3rd March, and now 3-4 months without him. Non stop crying has commenced and the ice cream is being provided by the tub but overall I'm trying not to be too sad and trying to in fact distract myself with anything that I know I will enjoy whether its food, blogging, shopping, working etc. I feel as if a huge part of my little life has just been taken away and we will be going from every day contact and seeing each other once a week (uni sucks), to now not seeing each other for months and speaking maybe once a week. I love him with everything I have in me, and I know I am lucky to even have a boyfriend to begin with but it still hurts so much knowing that the one you love is on the other side of the world for such a long time and you cant see them until they're home.

I know that I want him to have an amazing time, and I am obviously incredibly jealous but at the end of the day, its an opportunity of a life time and you cannot say no to exploring countries unknown to us. When I saw this picture on weheartit.com I realised it explains exactly how I feel right now. So Guys, I am making sure that I am appreciating every moment of life but because of this, for a little while I may not post. But please realise its not because I don't love each and every one of you. I'm just trying to adapt to the new changes in my life and get back to my normal self. Trying to be as positive as possible!

This top is so versitile, I wouldn't only wear it with my high waisted Topshop jeans but I was going out this night for a meal and wanted to get the new girl out! As like everyone at the moment, I am really into the Peter Pan colars on my blouses but the thing I love about this top is the material, its so light and easy to match with anything. The other day I wore it with leggins and a denim jacket from my previous post, here I am wearing it with a Miss Selfridge feather jewel necklace from the sale for £5! And I think really because of the gorgeous vibrant colour of it, it would be suitable for day and night time outfits. Also with an extremely cheap price of £15.99, who really could say no to this?

Summer come early

I know that Denim Jacket's are normally a key piece in everyone's summer wardrobe, but I found this gorgeous size 10 mini denim crop jacket in the Warehouse Sale for £20! :) I am not the type to go out and spend £20 willy nilly as I am a student remember! But I knew straight away that this would be something that I would keep for a while a wear a lot throughout the summer and also now! I have been wearing it underneath coats when out as a sort of cardigan like layer but obviously its a thicker material so can cause problems. I have worn it out on a night out with leggings and a long top. Here I am wearing it with a blue Topshop jersey top and jeggings, matched for some colour with a vintage red, black and gold scarf from my Grandma :) In the summer, I will wear it with anything really, its so versatile and although I'm not a fan of the double denim look, I have a lot of colourful skirts and blouses to match with the Denim Jacket.

Floral Fantastic

This is a Topshop dress I got in the sale two weeks ago for £12!

It is a size 14 but with a simple little black thin belt from Primark for £2.50.

It is quite short so I did have to wear a long top underneath but it made me more comfortable because it was quite floaty and I was worried people would see my bum but it all turned out okay :)

I love finding things in the sales because normally you find the best things on the floor tucked underneath everything else with there hangers still in cos they have just fallen off the rail, that was the case here! I wore it to a night out in town and it was quite nice to have a high neck and long sleeved dress ( I pulled them up for the picture ) as I was really comfortable and warm! What do you think?

This is my new stunner of a top from Newlook, an unusual mustard colour that admittedly I didnt think would suit me because of my pale skin and light hair but I really love it and recommend people trying out unusual colours this year! Just so you all know, i'm doing this post off of my boyfriends iphone whilst we're in the pub and i thought i'd occupy myself by posting instead of watching Spurs vs Sunderland!

Anyway, my new favourite programme at the moment is Secret Diary of s Call Girl. Although I wouldn't normally talk about underwear on my blog, today I have decided to because of some gorgeous images I saw that were taken for the programme. As quoted by 'Celbrifi' website 'The series tells the story of high-class escort Belle and her adventures in London. And as you might expect the character, played by Billie Piper, has quite the wardrobe of intimate wear.'

In the first episode Billie wears a gorgeous number worth £650 from the lovely boutique luxury brand 'Harlette'. It's called the 'Northern Lights Couture Crystal Catsuit' made with French lace and Swarovski crystals on silk.

What do you think? Sexy for the bedroom or something nice to make the ladies feel nice?

This evening thin jacket is from the New Look sale for £3

Believe it or not, I found this beaut on the floor of the sale and could not believe it when I saw a reduced sign of £3!!! From over £20 before hand! It is a size 12 and thats not my size but you really cant tell! I never normally wear things like this but I love the details on the shoulders, especially with my new Topshop high waisted jeans :) What do you think?

Today I hit 350 followers. So I would love to just say a HUGE thank you to all of you!

I appreciate all the support, a while ago I was going to stop blogging but you lot brought me back!

Today I thought I would unveil my new header and my new primary font, hope you all like it :)

A few months ago I was approached by the amazing website perfectly named... Style Clone. I was so honoured to be asked by such a big website especially as they feature some of my favourite bloggers who have thousands of followers and have done really well for themselves! The website is known for its amazing style tips, up to date gossip and information and of course its love of new found bloggers and their style. Luckily enough I was one of their new bloggers and they kindly made up one of my outfits I wore for a night out with the girls from over the Christmas Period....here. I wore a Topshop Top and skirt, Missguided boots and all matched together with Primark accessories. They wrote some gorgeous things about me and also my style and I am so pleased with the way that the recreation came out. I really appreciate what they have done and I definitely think that others should ask to have this done! Its really good to have your name out there and to have someone valuing your style efforts and fashion opinions! Here's the recreation they made...

I've been really useless at blogging over this past month that I have had off from university and the two weeks I've been back!!

In a way, I really regret it. I've bought so much due to Christmas money and pay cheques but haven't had the time to share it with any of you lot! One excuse for not blogging more recently was that I went on a gorgeous and relaxing holiday with my boyfriend for one week but no doubt a very long post about that will come later.

One thing I have liked about blogging over the past month is that even though I have not had much time to post, I have still been able to check out some of my favourite bloggers and look at what they've been doing and steal some of their style tips and ideas.

Just before I went away I bought this gorgeous Topshop Cocoa Peter Pan Collar Polka Dot Sleeveless Tunic for £26 and my inspiration for this random purchase was because of three bloggers I like and their posts about the item. It made me instantly want to go out and get it so that I could have it for my holiday so to the left is a picture of just that, matched with black newlook sandals.
I may do an outfit post later of myself in it, but am REALLY short of time at the moment due to uni work!!!

Really nice fit because its not too big and not too small on my frame.

Christmas & New Year Sales

This is obviously a very late post about the Christmas and New Years sales and well, at least I can admit it!

I feel that I should still do the honours of respecting the sales assistants of the world though by posting about how appreciative I am of them for working through it all!

I know the feeling of working stressful times in the sales so this post in a sense is for them :)

I will have a few more posts about my amazing buys over the next few weeks but also will have a big gap because I go on holiday with the boy on friday :)

I wore a playsuit I bought from Topshop in the sale for £25.00 but of course got the amazing student discount!In total I spent £100 even with the discount so there will be much more items from the sales to be shown soon :) Earings from newlook for £3.00!

I bought this gorgeous top in London, Oxford Street Topshop. It was chaos, the place is huge and packed.

Silly idea to go on a saturday in the weeks running up to Christmas, but I had to check it out.

This £38 top is rather expensive and trust me I would never normally spend this much money on an top but I had just received my final pay check from my old job so I wanted to spoil myself. My best friend Lucie has just lost a load of weight, 3 and a half stone to be exact and she inspired me to get this top as we wanted something nice to wear out to town earlier this week for the last student night out before Christmas.

I've put it with a big chunky gold floral necklace from Primark to match with the gold zips and a black Topshop skirt with my Missguided shoe boots.

As I have decided that I want to try to become more involved with my blog,

I have invested in a Canon EOS D500. Otherwise known as 'my baby'.

I got it two weeks ago and have just been playing around with it really! I took it to the Aussie Event but that was the first actual time I had used it so excuse the bad pictures! I tried my best! I have always been interested in photography and I wanted to invest in something conveniently before christmas so that I could get some help with the financial side from the rest of the family :) I do photography club at university and I am on the student newspaper for the photography and gigs section so I needed something simple for beginners but able to do pretty much all that is required.

I LOVE THIS CAMERA! Its so easy to use but also so gorgeous with every shot it takes!

I take such good care of it because I love it to pieces! And I really want to get some stunning images for my blog so that I can develop my posts as much as some of my favourite bloggers!

Aussie Hair Care Market 4th December

Now not all of you may remember, but I am an 'Aussie Angel'.

This is a title given to a small amount of bloggers to represent Aussie Hair Care.

On the 4th of December I went to London's La Danza Studios with my best friend Sam and Lucie for the Aussie Blogger's Market. Twelve lovely bloggers kindly put their skills to good use and set up stalls for all the rest of us to enjoy. The greatest thing was that it was my best mate Lucie's birthday so all got to have fun whilst having our hair and makeup done. We learnt how to flirt from top expert Elizabeth Clarke, how to turn our blogs into businesses, photography tips, how to be competitive bloggers and how to dress our individual shapes. It was such a fun day and I learnt so much to benefit my blog! We also left with some amazing photo-booth images and a goody bag as shown below! I will do a post on the hair products soon :)
I have been completely useless with keeping my blog up to date with everything I am doing due to university but now I am on my christmas break and I plan to keep right on track from now on :)
Thank you so much for the amazing day Aussie and I hope to go to another soon!

I think the video is amazing, but at the same time its so simple.

A few weeks ago I got to have one of the most crazy experiences EVER.

I was less than a metre away from the spectacular Ellie Goulding!

I was asked by my university newspaper 'Concrete' to photograph her for our events section,

and she was fantastic! Just as amazing live as on the radio or in my ipod!

Here are a few of my favourite photos taken on the university Nikon D60.

Not an amazingly new camera but still definitely did the job!

Hopefully I will be using my new Canon 500D for the next band I photograph :)
